Other contents included news about literary societies such as Southern Society (nan she), Plum Blossom Society (mei she) and Chinese sojourners in Nanyang (southeast Asia) alongside pictures of art works by contemporary artists, Cantonese songs, erotic fiction and folk stories. A highlight of the magazine was a list of sing-song girls  active in Guangzhou.
