This pictorial was distributed by the Feifei Yaofang pharmacy of Sham Shui Po. According to its editor, Fei Fei  was founded to right wrongs: ‘Feifei ([‘wrong-wrong’], is the opposite of right-right—to affirm what is right’. Dissatisfied with other periodicals that covered brothels and gambling, he wanted highlight praiseworthy characters and enlighten the masses. Positioned as a leisure magazine specialising in the arts and tasteful consumption, it boasted an inscription from Cai Yuanpei, devoted much coverage to works of art, particularly Chinese paintings of the Lingnan School, seal carving, calligraphy and photography, and featured articles on ‘national sport’ alongside in-depth reports on a wide range of topics. . Much of its advertising came from artists and restaurants. Other coverage included documenting historical materials and customs, craftsmanship, and popular culture. Typical was an article titled ‘A Small Biography of Hot-cake Tuo’ about an ‘artist’ whose real name was Qian Baoman and whose cake-making skills had him household name in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
