Annotation

Xiang Feng was an erotic sanrikan (three-day-journal) tabloid published on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Its editor, Luo Liming, had previously been the editor of Guzi, another tabloid, and was the author of Tangxi Fengyueshi (‘Records of Breeze and Moon over Shek Tong Tsui’ – a well-known writing about the history of brothels in Shek Tong Tsui). As well erotic fiction, soft-porn comic strips and adult jokes, it also published spy fiction. Its ‘Readers Mailbox’ was divided into a ‘Male Section’ and a ‘Female Section’ corresponding to the nature of the questions about sex posed in its letters. It claimed sales of 16,000 copies for one of its issues.
